Duties

Desktop and Phone Support

  • Answer incoming phone or e-mail helpdesk requests
  • Responding to tickets by phone and/or email
  • Providing basic analysis to effect resolution or escalation
  • Performing software installations of varying difficulty
  • Addressing basic application and OS problems
  • Escalating tickets beyond this scope to other engineers

Required Skills

  • Must be self-motivated, team-oriented and willing to learn
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with emphasis on customer service
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Must be well organized.
  • Follow process driven instructions and maintain effective time metrics
  • Flexibility in prioritizing and responding to multiple incoming requests
  • Following instructions and asking for clarification and/or assistance when necessary

Preferred Experience

  • Must have at least 1 - 2 years Help Desk, remote, desktop, or phone support
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications
