The intersection of Facebook and relationships is a legitimate horror show. There are more opportunities for dropping the ball than a Mets pennant game.

Seriously, if you want to save yourself the time (and amusement) of reading the rest of this piece, just don’t ever “friend” your sweetie on Facebook. You don’t need Facebook to communicate! That’s why we invented e-mail, IM, sex, talking, flowers and jewelry.
